Delete Your Account

You can request that your Pelican Lockers account and all associated personal data be deleted at any time. There is no charge to delete your account.
How to request deletion
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my Pelican Lockers account".
In the email, please include:
- The phone number you used to sign up (in international format, e.g.
+1XXXXXXXXXX).
- Your name (optional, helps us locate the right record).
We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you when deletion is complete (using the address you write from).
What gets deleted
- Your phone number and any email address you provided.
- Your name (if any).
- All API tokens that allowed your phone to access the service.
- Any records that personally identify you in our database.
What we keep
For legal, accounting, and audit reasons, we retain — in anonymized form — the following operational records, which can no longer be linked back to you after deletion:
- Rental records — locker code, start time, end time, duration. The user reference is severed.
- Payment records — amount, date, Stripe transaction ID, refund status. We are required by U.S. tax and chargeback rules to retain payment data for at least seven years; Stripe holds the corresponding card-side records under their own retention policy.
- Unlock event logs — which locker opened, when, and the result. Used for audit and security; user reference is severed.
Effect of deletion
After deletion:
- You will no longer be able to log in with your old phone number.
- Active rentals tied to your account, if any, will be released by an administrator before the deletion completes.
- You can sign up again later under the same phone number — it will be treated as a new account.
